Design Consultation in Greater Montréal
A design consultation gives you expert answers before you commit real money — what's possible in your space, roughly what it will cost, and what the project will take to deliver. As a design-build studio, we bring both the design and construction perspective to that first conversation, so the advice is grounded in what can actually be built.
What's included

Frequently asked
Design Consultation — your questions, answered.
What happens during an initial design consultation?
We discuss your goals, scope and budget, review the space, and assess feasibility — what's possible given the layout, structure and site constraints. For commercial and retail clients we also flag Montréal permit and occupancy requirements and any borough-specific rules early. The aim is honest guidance on whether the project works, roughly what it involves, and the realistic path from idea to completed build.
Is the consultation free, and does the fee apply to the project?
Consultation practices vary across the industry: some firms offer a complimentary first meeting, others charge an hourly or fixed fee that's often credited toward the project if you proceed. Contact us to confirm how ours is structured. Either way, an early consultation is designed to catch feasibility and budget issues before you spend on full design, which typically saves money later.
Can you tell me whether my budget is realistic before I commit to a full design?
Yes — that's a core purpose of the consultation. Because we're a design-build firm, we weigh construction cost while assessing your idea, so we can give early budget clarity instead of designing something that turns out unaffordable at bid time. If the scope and budget don't align, we say so up front and suggest ways to adjust the scope, phasing or finishes to fit.
